Hi, i have read your problems and if you were in my clinic with these symptoms I would first check your nose. There are at most 2 causes of blocked nose:
1. A deviation of the septal bone of the inside nose. In this case the nose shells are reflectorly hypertrophic (bigger than normal) Their function is to filter and warm the breathing air.
Hypertrophic nose shells are also by allergic problems as well. Some allergic tests can be helpful in this case.
2. If you have rhinorhoe and postnasal drip ( mucus or pus in front part of the nose or in the back of the throat) its a sign of sinusitis. If its longer than 3 months its a chronic problem.
It can also be a problem of both.
Anyway the choice of the therapy is a
cortisone spray 1-3 months. This therapy can be interrupted if it comes to nose bleeding. As a supportive therapy you can use some mucosa creme
If your problems still persist I would do a CT of face skull to visualize the spread of sinusitis.
If its an expansive
chronic sinusitis it should be endoscopic surgical operated. If the septal bone is deviated the operation can be combined with a septum correction at the same time.
If in the CT is just 1 side you should have a check by your
dentist as well.
I wish you good health
