Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I noticed a few days ago that my husband had a small red spot in the side of his eye that went away. Yesterday, I noticed a small pouch of blood outside the corner of his eye that has become increasingly larger since yesterday. What is the cause for this? What should he do? Is this a serious condition that needs prompt attention? Thank You. Brenda A. McIntosh
Punch of blood outside the corner of eye could be due to hematoma formation. Hematoma usually resolves within few days. I suggest you to wait for few days and wait for the blood hematoma to resolve.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
