What Causes A Boil On The Stomach After A Colonoscopy?

Hello at the end of last week I had a colonscopy and a pulp was removed. On Sunday I notice a pimple on my stomach and now it has become bigger and looks like a boil? I cannot get into my doctors until 16/3. Are these related and what should I do?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is not related to colonoscopy.

You can consult a general practitioner and start a short course of antibiotics.

You can also apply topical antibiotics like Mupirocin.

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
