Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Firstly, you have to explore that whether it is traumatic or not. Secondly, low platelet count or platelet dysfunction or clotting pathway defect can cause this problem. You need to visit your physician to get Complete blood count and coagulation testing.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ammara Kaleem, Pediatrician
