Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, i have a funny looking curved bump at the base of my neck which was not there before. I always had a nice straight neck/back area. I don t know if this is fatty tissue or it is developing into some kind of permanent hump/bump? I am definitely overweight, too much so, and am currently taking 50 mcg of Levothyroxine for my thyroid. eI am post menopausal and have not gone for any type of osteoporosis testing. Thank you.
Since you are hypothyroid and obese, lump may form behind neck. Still you are worried take one Scan neck and see. Or go to a local doctor and maybe lymphoma.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. C.ELANCHEZHIAN, General & Family Physician
