Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I have been trying to find the right doctor to deal with a parasitic condition in my throat and lung area. It has been evident since March 6th and the ENT and Upper GI doctors don t see anything so they can do anything. 3 months ago I felt something sharp in the back of my throat that seemed to crawl up under the soft palliate. I notices a bump in the back of my throat on the soft tissue that is still there. It makes me cough, I feel floating particles going down my wind pipe which make me cough when they do. There is a lot of activity in that area. I also feel this thing attaching and moving in the throat and its very painful like razors. Who should I see.
Bump in the throat along with cough is commonly due to Pharyngitis. You are suggested to gargle with warm salt water three times a day. Give voice rest and eat liquid or semi solid food that does not hurt your throat. Get clinically examined by an ENT, get swab and sputum test done. You may be recommended to get biopsy of the bumps done.
You will be treated accordingly. In the meantime, you can take an oral course of augmentin. Take acetaminophen, one sos when pain and discomfort. Your symptoms well get reduced but it may take time. You may need a repeat dose of medicines after a gap of 2-3 days.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
