What Causes A Bump Like Bone Below The Knee Post An Injury?

About 10 years ago I fell out of a tree house and rolled . My knee blew up that night, I had it drained 2x in a month and wore a brace for 6 weeks. All was good . Now I feel a bump like a bone at the top of my shin bone below my knee. Sometimes going up and down stairs my knee sound like a baby rattle , it hurts every once in a while but if I press the hard lump it hurts. Should I see someone ? It has not grown in size or last 3 years.

Hello,

I think for the symptoms, you should see an Orthopedic surgeon.

Since it has not changed in size in three years, nothing serious about it.

Imaging such as MRI of the knee also may be necessary for a correct understanding.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
