Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a bump come up on my back near my scapula about the size of a quarter, a doctor I work with did an ultrasound on it and said it appears to be encapsulated. It is not painful or red. Can not be seen simply by looking at my back, but is easily palpated. I am wondering if I should attempt to have it removed.

What Causes A Bump Near The Shoulder Blade?
Hi, It could be a sebaceous cyst and you should get it checked and probably removed by a surgeon. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Harshita, Ophthalmologist
