What Causes A Bump On The Kneecap After Injury?
I fell (tripped) and landed square on my knee on the tile floor in my house 4 months ago. Thankfully, I didn t break my kneecap but it did leave a bump slightly smaller than a quarter. Unfortunately, I didn t put ice on it till an hour or two later. I still have the bump. How do I make it go away? I heard putting ice on it for a 1/2 hour at a time. Thank for your help! Lisa

It could be a simple hematoma. Which is nothing but a collection of blood. As of now no treatment is required and it will subside by it own.
