What Causes A Burning Sensation On The Right Side Near The Edge Of The Rib Cage?

I have what feels like a burning sensation on the right side near the edge of my ribcage. Not sure if it is internal or on the skin, but feels internal. No rash or bruising, but a sudden burning from time to time that is increasing with frequency. On a pain scale, it is about a 2 - nothing major or painful, but noticeable and the frequency has me curious. Should I be concerned?

Hello,

The common presentation of burning on edge of the rib cage is neuritic origin with
less likely chances of herpes as there are no skin show ups.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
