What Causes A Burning Sensation Under The Skin Of My Left Hip?

I have had what feels like a burning sensation under the skin of my left hip for the last three or four days. This extends from the back of my hip across to the front and down to the left of my groin. There is no obvious visual sign of anything there.

Hello,

It might be a case of possible piriformis syndrome where piriformis muscles of the hip have been overstretched/overused causing such pain.

Physiotherapy, massage and applying analgesic cream locally are the best treatment.

Take vit.B complex plus magnesium to ease the pain. If still no improvement, should consult with your caring doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
