What Causes A Chronic Rash On Back, Chest And Pelvic Area?

My husband has a rash on his upper back, chest, buttox,genital area around his penis any ideas.he has tried cortisone prescribed by the doctor and is now taking steroids. The rash is not really itchy, but is very uncomfortable, feels like his skin is tight.

cortisone and steroid are same. it would have been better to consult dermatologist before starting steroid. till now proper diagnosis has not been done. it is not possible to give opinion without examination. co lour and sensation thermal sensation and sensation to touch is to be tested. pinprick sensation is to be tested. further investigation is to be done. after proper diagnosis treatment can be recommended.
