What Causes A Click And Lack Of Balance In The Right Knee Of A Toddler?

Hi, need a second opinion please...my son is 18 months old born. Hes right knee has always clicked when changing him or moving it about. He stared walking at 15 mnths but we found him losing balence when on the right foot . Ow walking but falls over alot...Looks like a smal limp. worried so went to the doctors 3 times till sent to hospital to have it checked. At the hospital the doct said he couldnt feel it click but noticed a dimple in the knee...xray didnt show a knee cap he said this was normal. We where told he seems fine now but may have some issues when older and discharged us. What could this be and should we be worried?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a locked knee or a foreign body inside the joint.

Consult an orthopedician and get evaluated.

A detailed evaluation is required including an MRI knee.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
