Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my mother aged 77 suffered a complete paralytic attack on the right side of body. she is chronic diabetic and hypertensive. she was admitted in a hospital but no result and condition remained same . ct shows a clot in the brain. is it possible to reverse her condition ?
Hello and welcome to HCM, Hypertension is a risk factor for developing clot and hemorrhage in brain. The clot can be removed with medical and surgical treatment. The recovery from paralysis after removal of clot is unpredictable. This is because the paralytic attack is caused due to damage to a part of brain which may be irreversible. You need to consult your neurosurgeon for further management.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
