Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my 7 month old baby has what looks like a sunburn that is quite hot on his arms but when I looked closer it is a bunch of tiny dots but they are not raised. do you have any idea what it could be? this started about 4 days ago and is getting more red and today I noticed it was hot
Understanding your concern. As per your query your baby have symptoms of cluster of dots which seems to be due to eczema due to pets , pollens , certain viruses and bacteria , weather, excessive exposure to sunlight. In your case the probable reasons is seasonal allergy and due to hormonal changes. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to keep yourself away from open environment. You should use air condition and continue taking anti histamine like benadryl and apply cold compresses to affected area and apply moisturizer . If condition doesn't get improve or get worse then consult allergy specialist for proper examination . Doctor will take history and try to find out the trigger factor . Doctor may order allergy test . Doctor may give adrenaline short or may hospitalize .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
