Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a dent in the lower right side of my back. It s been there for a few months, but seems to be getting worse. The top part of it (like where my kidney is) is swollen, just on that side. I m worried that it has something to do with my kidney. Like an infection or fluid.
Kidney disease is usually associated with symptoms related to the urinary tract eg change in the frequency of urination, urgency, discomfort on urination, change in the color or odor of urine, change in the amount, pain from loin to groin etc In terms of swelling associated with kidney failure, this would be more generalized.
This means that the changes that you are noticing are not likely related to the kidneys. It may be related to the muscle or other soft tissue in the area.
You can consider seeing your doctor for an assessment
I hope this helps
