What Causes A Discharge Of Mucus In The Stools?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... Sometims when I poop their is a clear mucus discharge in my anus after the poop or with my poop. Today it was a long string of mucus discharge after I pooped and it felt cold. Why is this?

Mucus laden stools can mean infections mostly. If no blood, would need a quick look at your tests before zeroing on the right antibiotic for you. Meanwhile, drink lot of fluids lest you not loose too much water and salts. Get checked soon.
