What Causes A Dry Patch In The Throat Along With Chronic Cough?
I have a dry patch in the back of my throat. Uncontrollable coughing, worse at night. I do take omeprazple for gerd but still have heartburn frequently.. Also on Zoloft, Citalprozam, Wellbutrin and simvastatin. Is there an over the counter remedy such as logenzes or a spray that I can use at work and at bedtime. Cough drops have no effect at all. Should I see my family doctor? Thank you

It could be due to conditions like pharyngitis. You can do warm saline gargles for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated.
