Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes A Electrical Shock Sensation In Head And Eyes Like Dizziness?
I have been having some dizziness, but it s different from the dizziness I ve experienced in the past with upper respiratory infections, congestion etc. It is more of a shock type reaction when I move quickly. It may have more to do with my eyes than my head. Almost like an electrical thing. I know how ridiculous this sounds, but maybe it might make sense to you???
* There is enough sense in this symptom and the most likely possibility of Trigeminal neuralgia in which 5th cranial nerve has issues giving various neurologic manifestations involving different portions of the face depending upon the segment involved as V 1 ( ophthalmic ), V 2 (maxillary ) or V 3 (mandibular) segment
* Must immediately consult your GP who will make a reference for the neurologist appointment at earliest and priority basis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
