What Causes A Failed Medical Abortion?

I m currently 7weeks pregnant I had a failed medical abortion last week. I had an ultrasound and was told I have a moderate subchorionic hemorrhage. Prior to pregnancy i was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and I m taking methimazole 5mg. Is the failed abortion have anything to do with my thyroid disease medication?

Hi I think failed medical abortion is not related to your thyroid medication. Sometimes medical abortion fails and a d n C is required for abortion. So, you can discuss regarding this with your doctor if you don't want pregnancy. Hope it helps.
