What Causes A Fainting Spell, Temporary Memory Loss And Repetitive Questioning?
I had an incident where I was physically exerted and I felt like I was going to pass out, could not remember anything that happened that day, kept asking the same 3 quesitons over and over. This lasted 3 hours and then my memory slowly started to come back. Could this have been a mini stroke? Since that incident I ve had two other times when I was dancing that I completely forgot the steps. It was like I could not make my feet move like they were supposed to.
You seem to have suffered a transient ischemic attack also called mini stroke. Other possible causes may be: Carotid Artery Dissection Meningitis Meningococcal Meningitis Multiple Sclerosis Stroke, Hemorrhagic Stroke, Ischemic Subarachnoid Hemorrhage Subarachnoid Hemorrhage Surgery Syncope
You need to go to a neuro-physician for detailed clinical examination and few tests like MRI brain to arrive at specific diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
