What Causes A Feeling Of Fainting While Sitting In A Middle Aged Woman?
I am a 36 year old female and for years I have gotten this random quick feeling that I am falling. This happens while completely awake and even while just sitting relaxing. It started happening more often about 2 years ago and now at times almost daily. Should this be something I should worry about?
Its called vasovagal syncope. It occurs when you sit or stand in one position for long periods. Its a natural phenomenon where the blood gets drained to the lower portion of yourbody and due to low flow of blood to brain you feel dizziness. So you have to lie down supine for some time and its gets all right . Avoid sitting or standing in same position for long duration. And do constantly keep your toes moving if you are in a same posture for longer period.
