What Causes A Feeling Of Sand In My Eye During Treatment For Glaucoma?
Is it okay to wear contacts, infrequently, if one is being treated for glaucoma. I use eye drops prescribed by my doctor for the glaucoma. My eyes have started to feel like sand is in them when I wake up after a nap at night. What is the cause of this feeling. .
Usually it is advised that contact lenses should be discontinuea when anti-glaucoma eye drops are started. This is due to the deposition build up if contacts are worn. I guess it is alright for an occasional use. It is possible that you are experiencing a side effect of the eye drops. Most often this is temporary and disappears after few days.If it still persists the you can use preservative free Allergan liquifil tears, single use drops, as and when required for the grittiness.
