What Causes A Feeling Of Something Stuck In The Throat?

It feels like I have something stuck in my throat. This has been going on for 3 1/2 weeks. I've trued eating bread, even sticking my finger down my throat with no results. At first I thought that the flap or whatever determines which way food or air goes, was sticking. Any idea of what could cause this?
