What Causes A Feeling Of Swelling In The Brain Post A Mild Concussion?

I had a mild concussion in August. Periodically since I have had the same swelling of my brain feeling. Last saturday I suddenly felt like I came down with the flu, when I woke up Sunday, I was very dizzy. I continue to feel as if my brain is swollen, I have a feeling of a buzzy pressure sensation in my head. I also have sudden pain in my kidneys. I had a cat scan in August which was normal. I am not sure if any of this is related to the mild concussion or not. I feel vacant ( this is not normal for me-- this is not a depressive syndrome) Do you have recommendation?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is a part of resolving concussion.

Nothing much to worry and it will settle by itself.

If symptoms persist you can consult a neurosurgeon and plan for an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
