What Causes A Feeling Of Tightness In The Throat?

I ve been feeling tightness in the back of my throat but it isn t painful and I am able to swallow. It s hard to describe the feeling, just that the back of my throat feels swollen and it s weird to swallow. Other than that I m feeling fine, sometimes I cough but nothing chronic. I ve had a sore back and right arm but I m pretty sure it s because of non-stop moving around this weekend and my bad habit of hunching my back when I sit down.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi. Sorry to hear about your problem . As per your description , although a little more info may be required for a conclusive diagnosis, it seems from the available information that you are suffering from a local throat infection. So the plan is you need to visit an ENT doctor to get a prescription of appropriate antibiotics and additionally you may need anti-inflammatory agents and/or a cough syrup if it is too bothersome. Wishing you best of health .
Regards.
