What Causes A Few Scaly, Painful Patches On Different Parts Of Body?

Hello. I have developed a few scaly, painful patches on different areas of my body. The areas are the outer corners of my mouth, my left wrist, a cluster on my rear left thigh, my left ankle and a small cluster on the small of my back. These dry patches are excruciatingly itchy. Except for my mouth, all the dry patches are black. They first appeared a year and a half ago. I ve tried over the counter eczema creams, psoriasis creams, and cortisone creams. Can you help rid me of this problem?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You already tried a lot of medications and skin disorders can only be diagnosed by seeing them as a physician. So you should definitely schedule an appointment with a dermatologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Alexander Davis, General & Family Physician
