What Causes A Hard And Painful Lump Beside The Lip?
Hi i have notice small lump in side lower lip i can feel with hard press by tonge or finger, got bigger in 2 months and its almond shape no color change Berning sensation some time ,and week ago having pain in ear on same side of lump location on lip, can u please tell me what it could be
As per your complain a hard lump in the inside of the lip that has increased in size for last 2 months with no colour change of mucosa can be due to causes like a deep mucocele, benign muscle tumor, a soft tissue tumour or Leiomyoma etc..
You need to get it evaluated by an Oral Physician to get confirmed for what exactly it is and get treated accordingly.. You can also be advised to get a Biopsy done to rule out the nature of lesion.. Once the cause is conformed then only an appropriate treatment can be instilled..
As of now you should apply numbing gel over it if it burns, do warm saline gargles and avoid touching it again and again.
Hope you get well soon..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
