Hi,

A hard lump after an injury could be due to hematoma. A hematoma is a collection of blood outside of blood vessels that occurs due to the rupture of blood vessels. This will absorbed eventually but it might take few days to few months. If the pain is continuous or if there is tingling sensation of lower limb it is best to consult with your doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thanks.
