What Causes A Hard Lump Behind The Head Along With Chronic Headaches?

My son has a knot in the back of his head he fell off a bunk bed and laid on his back and hit the back of his head and left a big knot this was about 2 years ago I took him to the doctor and they say everything was fine and the knot would leave now here it is 2 year later and the knot is still their and now its harden and he has very bad headache not once a week or maybe twice but every single day that stop him from playing sports doing his homework sometimes even going to school. what can I do.

Hello,

May be some bone hair line fracture with periosteal reaction may can cause swelling. But it may not cause headache. Also check it may be a tension headache or malingering or migranous headache.

Use tablet paracetamol according to his body weight. If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
