What Causes A Hard Lump Under Left Nipple?

I was wondering, I have noticed a lump that is hard and sore directly under my left nipple . I am a 50 year male in Canada and was wondering if I should be worried about it and check to see if it is cancerous, or just let it go and see if it clears up on it s own .

Incomplete data: any medical illness like liver disease, drug intake??
It could due to many reasons like hormone changes due to aging can cause breast growth more so in overweight men and in men age 50.

Chronic liver disease
Low testosterone levels

Drugs like Alcohol, Amphetamines, Marijuana, Cimetidine, Spironolactone, Anabolic steroids, etc can also cause an enlargement of the male breast

Since you have one-sided hard breast lump that feels like it is attached to the tissue and there is associated soreness, you need to be examined by a doctor to rule out cancer for that you may have to undergo a simple lab test FNAC and other blood tests.
