What Causes A Hard Painful Lump On The Collarbone?

I have a hard lump right on my collarbone it seems toward the middle of my neck. I discovered it today. I have been having pain across that area when my pocket is over my neck and i have to move it. When I wear a seat belt, sometime I have to put my right arm out over the top of the seat belt because it hurts. I thought the weight of my purse had put some pressure there, but I didn t discover the lump until today. It is about 1.5 In. in diameter and in thickness about that of a marble. What could it be? General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Hard lumps over the collar bone area need to be checked with a doctor. Sometimes, an ultrasound examination may also be needed to determine the nature of the lump.
So, I would advise you to have a check with the local provider and follow his instructions when it comes to further management.

I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
