What Causes A Hard Swollen Lump Below The Knee?
2 weeks ago I bumped the front of my right leg, just below the knee, the next day my leg was swollen twice its normal size, went to the ER. they performed an ultrasound, and ruled out a bloodclot, they leg was red and warm to the touch, they determined it was cellulitis and prescribed clindamycin. 300MG for 10 days. swelling went down but not all the way, had a follow up with my family doctor, he confirmed and gave me 7 days of cephalexin. 500MG, both were to be taken 3 times a day. leg still slightly swollen and have a large hard lump just below the knee... could I be battling something else?

Hello,
I think you are fighting an infection since the doctor prescribed you antibiotics. The swelling may persist longer and you may need to continue NSAIDs. If it still doesn't go away you may need corticosteroids.
