What Causes A Head Lump With Pain After An Injury?

I hit my head really hard on the counter over a year and a half ago, and there is still a painful bump on my head, it hurts bad when i press on it or brush my hair. What could be the cause, is it something serious, should I get an xray of my skull?

Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

First, after one and a half year after head trauma, there is no a serious condition.

It may be an outer bone of the skull fracture that is causing your symptoms.

Skull x-rays in two positions may confirm or exclude this possibility.

So, get x-rays done.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Greetings.
