What Causes A Hematoma After Undergoing Hysterectomy?
A friend had a hysterectomy. A few days following the surgery she was found to have a venous hematoma. Today she had a procedure (now THERE S a word that could mean anything) and they didn t drain the pooled blood, saying it would only make it worse. Why is that?
Actually during hysterectomy, there are lots of blood vessels which are cut and tied during the procedure and also tissues are cut and tied so little amount of blood usually is released from all this structures which leads to formation of hematoma.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
