Hi,
I am sorry for the
gastroenteritis (bowel infection) you are going through.
That could be due to viral infection. When
diarrhea, you have several bowel movements (bm) during the day. Thus, food is not staying longer inside the bowels explaining the changes in stool color.
Blood could be due to acidic stool lacerating the
rectum mucosa and hemorrhoids.
Remaining nausea is due to gastroenteritis. It will be vanished by time.
I advise to:
- keep well hydrated: drink lots of fluids (water with oral rehydration salts); soups, juice, etc.
- have light meals (
BRAT diet can help: banana, rice, apple sauce, toast) until no GI problem is present; avoid fried or oily foods
- take probiotics to stabilize intestinal flora
- take tasectan or
pepto bismol for diarrhea
If symptoms will persist, contact your doctor as might need prescription meds and further stool tests (stool analysis, or even culture).
Wish fast recovery.
