Hello,

Your son, 6 years of age has a skin tag on the inner ear. You are suggested not to fiddle with it and tell your son not to keep touching it. He should not scratch or pick it either. Skin tags can occur due to nutritional deficiencies. If you find that there are tags that are forming, you can work with nutritional elements.

You are suggested to get him examined by a pediatrician and an ENT to ensure that it is benign. Vitamin A, and vitamin E supplements may help the skin tag to fall away. Your treating pediatrician can prescribe a topical cream to help it drop out by itself.

Once the skin has bee supplemented and there is no nutritional deficiency, the skin tags may not grow back. He can be referred to a dermatologist. If the skin tag is benign the dermatologist may recommend removal by medical procedures like ligation, surgical removal, cryotherapy or electrosurgery.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
