What Causes A Knot Above The Belly Button While Treating Diverticulitis?
I went to the emergency room last Friday in pain in my lower abdomen. I was diagnosed with diverticulitis. I stayed in bed throughout the weekend & went I did struggle to get up it hurt to walk. Yesterday morning I noticed a knot right above my belly button & it is the only area still sore. Could I gave gotten a hernia from struggling to get & move around over the weekend?

It is unlikely be related to diverticulitis. Consult a general surgeon and plan for an ultrasound scan to rule out any cyst or umbilical hernia.
