What Causes A Large Boil On The Buttock?
i recently had a large boil on my bum, I took a 7 day course of flucoxacillin and the boil has returned again on my thigh. the problem is that they get very large and scar badly. i can already see a third boil forming near the last one. what can i do to minimise the scarring and enlargement this time? thanks

Hi..
In order to reduce the spread of infection you should take another course of antibiotics and along with it start applying Triple Antibiotic Ointment over it..
You can also keep the area clean and dry and do not let excess moisture exposure to it.
