Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have just discovered a pretty big lump on the septum side of the nose inside. My nose keeps staying cold like its not getting any blood. I never get sinus infections or flus but a few weeks ago i did get sick and had a cold. It went to my gums and they swelled up with blisters. I went to the denist and peri guy and even an endodonist but no one could find nothing wrong with my teeth. Now 2 days later the lump in my nose pretty big too like a grape size.
It seems that a grape like lump inside the nose that is attached on septum can be a Nasal Polyp and can occur due to overgrowth of soft tissues inside the nose and can lead to obstruction in breathing as it can close the nostril.. It is generally due to chronic irritation like Chronic upper respiratory tract infection, sinus infection and allergic reaction.. I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like nasal endoscopy can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly.. In case of nasal polyp he can advise you to take steroid nasal sprays as it can help in shrinkage of polyp.. At times injection of steroid can be given directly into the polyp and it helps in regression.. If it does not work surgical excision is advisable..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
