What Causes A Large Lump Under The Penis While Treating Myofascial Pelvic Pain?

I have been diagnosed with chronic myofacial pelvic pain. The muscles in my hips, thighs, and apparently pelvic floor are all very tight. I treat it with PT, muscle relaxation and Valium. My question is about a large lump that appears at the base of my penis when I have an erection. It is not present any other time but that area is always painful to the touch. Is that simply a chronically tight muscle.

Hello,

Lump at the base of the penis needs to be investigated by performing certain investigations like an ultrasound of pelvic region to know the nature of lump at the base of the penis.

The swelling is unlikely to be chronically tight muscle since tight, muscle will not lead to lump formation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
