my son who is 36 yrs of age was found to have a large mass in colon during colonoscopy...they are sending him to get a CT scan...he has suffered for over 5 years with running to bathroom after meal...was being treated for IBS and when meds didn t work they decided to do colonoscopy....I am worried
Your son has been diagnosed as having a colonic mass. It is extremely important to diagnose the exact disease process, at the earliest. It is good he is getting a CT Scan, and possibly a biopsy with CT guidance or through colonoscopy. Once the histopathological report is obtained, and the mass diagnosed, the gasterosurgeon would be in a proper position to advise him on the plan of management.
