What Causes A Large Painful Lump Behind The Ear?
i have a huge lump behind my ear. It is rubbery to the touch and it is almost unbearable with the pain. The swelling is now half way down my neck. I had sharp shooting pains behind my ear and this has been growing over a course of a month and a half

You may have large sebaceous or dermoid cyst or some soft tissue tumor or skin adenexal tumor. You should go for fine needle aspiration cytology or biopsy of that lump. It will give you exact diagnosis. Then you should take treatment accordingly. Surgical excision is the treatment of choice for most of the tumour.
