What Causes A Large Raised Area In The Lower Quadrant Of The Back?

I had a very large raised area in the lower quadrant of my back. I have had a CT scan and a ultra sound, both could not be determined. Now they are sending me to a vascular specialist. First they said it was a hematoma, then no it s not that. Please help.
