What Causes A Large Round Spot At The Urethral Meatus?
Hi, I just noticed while showering today that I have a shiny round spot on the head of my penis, it s about the size of a pencil eraser. I am curious what this could be as I have not had any sexual relations in at least 2 years. I doesn t hurt or itch but it is very shiny and a tiny bit raised. Thanks for any info

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. It can be fungal infection most likely as you didn't had recent unprotected sexual intercourse. The lesion you described sounds like syphilis chancre but it is not likely as you didn't had any sexual activity recently. Using anti fungal ointments like miconazole will be helpful. If you send a picture of the lesion then it will be more helpful in analysing. As it is painless lesion better to show a dermatologist to rule out other infections or eczema.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
