What Causes A Large White Spot And Redness On Left Side Behind Throat?
I have a white spot around the size of an eraser head on the back of the left side of my throat. It is surrounded by redness. It does not really hurt to swallow. I have been fatigued as well. I am going to the dr tomorrow but am curious what this could be.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have large white spot and redness on left side behind throat which could be due to pus pockets, oral thrush , tonsil stones, and tonsillitis . It seems to me that in your case the white spots on back of your throat is due to pus pockets. I would suggest you to take a course of antibiotics like Cephelexin or Azithromycin and anti-inflammatory painkillers such as Ibuprofen. You should consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and rule out other systemic conditions. Usually treatment is not necessary, as the tonsils will clean themselves with in week. You should do warm saline gargles. Maintain oral hygiene. Avoid oily and fried substances. If they are causing any discomfort then doctor may remove them with instrument. sip on luke warm water.
