Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes A Lesion In The Navicular Bone Of Foot?
I have a 7 mm lesion in the navicular bone in the right foot. I have a cancer history. One dr. says a biopsy would not be unreasonable, the other says its nothing to worry about. Very confused. Report says the lesion is located eccentrically within the navicular and is close to the talonnavicular surface
These findings could be suggestive of an inflammatory lesion. Anyway, a possible option would be wait and see and check up with another MRI after three months in order to see its progression. In the meantime, especially if you have pain in this region, I would recommend checking inflammation blood lab tests.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
