What Causes A Lump Around The Tailbone After An Injury?

I slipped and fell hard on a cemented floor when I attempted to kick a ball. It hurt a lot that I couldn t get up instantly. I stayed down but forced myself to get up. I remembered that it hurt a lot but I dtill kept playing a few mins after tho it still hurt a little. It s been 2 years now and still have this big lump at the back, around my tailbone. It hurt for about a week but now, only when I sit/stand for a lont time. I m bothered by this. I haven t gone to a doctor ever. Is this something serious?

Hi,

I think this is absolutely related to the fall. You should have done a x-ray immediately after the fall. Probably it may have caused a cyst or hernia. An x-ray or ultrasound is still needed to see the content of cyst and what it compresses.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
