What Causes A Lump At Base Of The Skull After A Head Injury?
I got hit in the right side of my head, just behind my temple and just above my ear with a baseball in 2011. Went to ER they did a ct to make sure there was no bleeding or swelling. It affected my jaw and my neck. I have a golf ball sized hard lump at the base of my skull along the spine. If you press on it, it hurts and most of my headaches stem from there. I can t crack my neck on that side due to it hurting way too much to do so. What are your thoughts?
It has passed almost 7 years, the swelling must have subsided. You need some good analgesics and review with a neurosurgeon and ophthalmologist (for fundoscopy).
Probably, you may require a repeat scan or fundoscopy to rule out the retinal damages.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
