Hello,
Thank you for asking at HCM.
I carefully read your question and understand your concern.
It is common with breast trauma to get damaged breast tissue and that might cause a lump in the area. It is generally not dangerous and it might get smaller and less tender with time. Still if you have never had your breast examined or at least no breast examination in the last year it might be good to have an
ultrasound done if you are under 40 years old or mamograme if you are 40 years old and above. Sometimes a breast trauma makes us more conscious of the breasts and lead us to examine them and find lumps so what I would recommend is:
1. Do an examination of the breast like ultrasound or mamograme depending on your age. This will give more information on the kind of lump you are having and if there is something to worry or not.
2. you can use local
cold compresses to help with pain and
paracetamol and
Ibuprofen after food if you are not allergic to them
3. Make sure you do not have very tight bra or very loose ones- this would help with better support of the breast and less pain.
4. It the examination mentioned above come out normal than there is nothing to worry, time is the best healer and you should be getting better just with pain killers and observation.
Hope this is helpful and answers to your question
Best regards
Dr Antoneta
